Jumping Into Faith

I heard a great message on "faith," from one of the speakers, during the youth Live Out Loud 4 Christ conference. Sean, spoke about his little boy just being filled of trust toward his daddy. That while they were building on Grace Church, from the floor up, there was scaffolds about five feet high. His son could only go up about to his dad's eye level, if furthermore, of course he would be in trouble.

Now when it was time for his son to get down or when the boy wanted down, of course his dady was right there to catch him. But this was no ordinary jump. His son would run, eyes shut and jump with arms wide open, knowing that his daddy would catch him. And Sean did, every time.

Sean was painting an image in our heart and our mind that night, we too as children of God, should have the same kind of faith. We should run and jump with our arms wide open believing and trusting in our Heavenly Father will too catch us every time. Sean spoke from Hebrews 11:6, which says, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

Believing plus trust equals faith. We intend to believe about His Son, Jesus Christ, of His death, His burial and His resurrection. But some of us, fall short to keep trusting Him. It says, "without faith it is impossible to please God," so I challenge you like Sean challenged us, close your eyes, run, and jump with arms wide open into God's arms. God is waiting and wanting to catch us.

Keep His promises wrap around your heart, He is true to His word!!
