I have recently been diagnosed with "pink eye." I have never in my life ever had this, but it doesn't surprise me that something else is wrong with me. Ever since the end of October I have been battling different and unusual health issues.
Faith Love and The Cross is founded on Psalm 105:1-4 (NIV84) *Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. *Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. *Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. *Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Nine Days Of Prophecies...(Day 9)
On the ninth day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in
Luke 2:8-12.
Luke 2:8-12.
And in that vicinity there were shepherds living [out under the open sky] in the field, watching [in shifts] over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord flashed and shone all about them, and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people. For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord! And this will be a sign for you [by which you will recognize Him]: you will find [after searching] a Baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. (AMP)
This would be a fulfillment of the prophecy in Isaiah 7:14, but this was also a sign for the shepherds in the field from the what the angel had spoke of. Thank You God for Your Son, Jesus Christ! Jesus saves and today is His birthday, so if you haven't receive the greatest gift of all, which is a personal relationship with Him!! Receive it today!!

Merry CHRISTmas!!

Nine Days Of Prophecies...(Day 8)
On the eighth day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in
Luke 1:26-33.
In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town
Luke 1:26-33.
In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town
in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man named Joseph,
of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came to
her and said, "Rejoice, favored woman! The Lord is with you." But she was
deeply troubled by this statement, wondering what kind of greeting this could be.
Then the angel told her:
Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will
call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the
Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
He will reign over the house of Jacob forever,
and His kingdom will have no end. (HSCB)
and His kingdom will have no end. (HSCB)
I love how The Nelson Study Bible (NKJV) said it clear about this passage. Luke's account of the announcement of Jesus' birth tells the story from Mary's perspective, while Matthew 1:18-25 focuses on Joseph and cites Isaiah 7:14. (from The Nelson Study Bible (NKJV). This is also would be a fulfillment to the prophecies that spoke about a virgin being pregnant and will give birth to a Son.
I wonder what Mary thought when she heard these words from Gabriel? How would you respond if you were in her shoes?
Tomorrow will be our final of the nine days of prophecies...

Tomorrow will be our final of the nine days of prophecies...
Nine Days Of Prophecies...(Day 7)
On the seventh day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in
Matthew 1:20-23.
Matthew 1:20-23.
Joseph had this in mind when a angel of the Lord appeared to
him in a dream. The angel said to him, "Joseph, descendant of David,
don't be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She is pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
She will give birth to a son, and will name him Jesus [He Saves],
because he will save his people from their sins." All this happened so
that what the Lord had spoken through the prophet came true:
"The virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they
will name him Immanuel," which means
"God is with us." (GWT)
Even though there was uncertainty of the words Isaiah spoke of, Matthew makes it clear that his words will find their ultimate fulfillment in the virgin birth of Jesus.
The eighth day of prophecies will be next...
Nine Days Of Prophecies...(Day 6)
On the sixth day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in
Micah 5:2.
Micah 5:2.
But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you are little to be among the clans
of Judah; [yet] out of you shall One come forth for Me Who is to be
Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth have been from of old, from ancient days (eternity). (AMP)
of Judah; [yet] out of you shall One come forth for Me Who is to be
Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth have been from of old, from ancient days (eternity). (AMP)
This prophecy reveals that Bethlehem, would be the birth place of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. In the Nelson Study Bible (NKJV) The governments would be overturned to make it necessary for Mary while still pregnant to make the journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. The specific detail of this oracle about Bethlehem is similar to the Lord's prophetic announcement of the name of Josiah to Jeroboam (see 1 Kings 13:2), and of Cyrus to Isaiah (see Isaiah 44:28-45:7).
Next will be the seventh day of prophecies...

Nine Days Of Prophecies...(Day 5)
On the fifth day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in
Jeremiah 23:5.
Jeremiah 23:5.
"For the time is coming," says the Lord, "when I will raise up a righteous
descendant from King David's line. he will be a King who rules with wisdom.
He will do what is just and right throughout the land. (NLT)
This was another prophecy stating that the Messiah, would be a descendant from King David, this was spoken from Jeremiah, a prophet.
Tomorrow will be the sixth day of prophecies...
Nine Days Of Prophecies....(Day 4)
On the fourth day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in
Isaiah 9:6.
For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given;
Isaiah, the prophet, once again spoke about the child being born, a son. This time he spoke about the significance of His name, His role.
Isaiah 9:6.
For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given;
and the government shall be upon His shoulder,
and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity],
Prince of Peace.(AMP)
Isaiah, the prophet, once again spoke about the child being born, a son. This time he spoke about the significance of His name, His role.
Coming up will be the fifth day of prophecies....

Nine Days Of Prophecies.....(Day 3)
On the third day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in
Isaiah 7:14.
Isaiah, a prophet, approached the "house of David," meaning the family and descendants from King David, and spoke of a virgin being pregnant and giving birth to a son. This prophecy Isaiah spoke of would be a sign, a proof from God. The significant thing I love most about this beside God giving the household a sign, but the meaning of the child's name, Immanuel, "God with us."
Isaiah 7:14.
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign:
The virgin will be with child and will give
birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. (NIV84)
Coming up will be the forth day of prophecies.....

Nine Days Of Prophecies......(Day 2)
On the second day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in
2 Samuel 7:12-14.
Tomorrow will be the third day of prophecies...
2 Samuel 7:12-14.
When your time comes and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up after you your descendant, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.
He will build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
I will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me. When he
does wrong, I will discipline him with a human rod and with the blows from others. (HCSB)
God made His vision known to a prophet, name Nathan, to share to King David. This vision would also be a promise to King David about one of his descendants. I like how the Contemporary English Version says in verse 13, "and no one will be able to take his kingdom away from him. He will be the one to build a temple for me." Which is so true. We can also take a look back at the genealogy of Jesus, once again in Matthew 1:16 and Luke 3:23-34.

Tomorrow will be the third day of prophecies...

Nine Days Of Prophecies...
There are a lot of Christmas carols to help us get in the spirit of Christmas, this time of year. Yesterday, I heard one of the all time favorite carols "Twelve Days Of Christmas" off my pandora station. When I thought how cool would it be to do a countdown like the song, but instead do it of the prophecies that tells us about the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Cool, uh? But than I thought how much cooler would it be, to be able to do it as a countdown towards Christmas Day. During my research yesterday, I found nine of the prophecies and we have nine days left til Christmas Day, so lets begin with our countdown of "Nine Days Of Prophecies."
First day of prophecies our true God gave to us is in Genesis 49:10.

The scepter or leadership shall not
depart from Judah,
nor the ruler's staff from between his feet,
until Shiloh (the Messiah, the Peaceful One)
comes to Whom it belongs, and Him shall be the obedience
of the people. (AMP)
Jacob was giving his blessings to his twelve sons, which they were also called the twelve tribes of Israel. Jacob told Judah, that his descendants would be rulers but one of his descendant will be the ultimate ruler. I love how the Amplifed translation saids, "the Messiah, the Peaceful One." This blessing would also be a prophecy of Jesus's birth. We can look at the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:1-16 and Luke 3:23-34.

This Is Why We Say Merry CHRISTmas
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest,
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, gloriying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Luke 2:1-20 (NIV84)

"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on
whom his favor rests."
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

Voice Of Truth
"Just stay out of my life!" That is the beginning of the end of the last conversation I had with my dad. It was a couple of Saturdays ago. This sad and difficult situation centered around a comment to a post on facebook that was trying to speak God's truth to my dad. To make a long story short, I had hit the "like" button on this post, which hit a nerve with him.

I Need a Savior
In John 14:6 it says, "Jesus answered, "I am the way and truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This verse clearly states that Jesus Christ is the way, is the truth, is the life, and is the only way to get through the gates of Heaven. When you have Jesus Christ, you also have the Holy Spirit that dwells in your heart and the characteristics which is in Galatians 5:22-23. It says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patienc, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Encouraging Without Words
Encourage each other every day while you have the opportunity...
It's wonderful how God shows me in many ways how we as His children show encouragement to one another. In fact, He showed me very simply that encouraging someone is not just through words but through actions, too.
