Reconstructing
v. reorganized, build up
It has been about little over a year, since being led to create a Christian online magazine. Over the course I had stumbled on a few road blocks. It didn't bother me at first, I was ready to jump in with both feet. Looking back at it and going forward, has led me to this reconstructing phase of this publication journey.
A little background.
The original name was BeBold, but since that was taken and I didn't want it to mean for "boldly" Christians only, I decided to change the name to Faith Love & The Cross. A softer name for an all age audience.
Faith Love and The Cross is founded on Psalm 105:1-4 (NIV84)
Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known
among the nations
what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful
acts.
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts
of those who seek the LORD
rejoice.
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

1. Our mission is to spread the good news about the gospel. minister to everyone!!
2. Short term goal is to get up and running and to have 100,000 readers.
3. Mid term goal is to have in Spanish language and double our readers.
4. Long term goal is to keep building our reader #s and to actually have a hard copy where we could set up subscription and to have in international. Also to have it on all ibook and smart phones.
{Funny uh?}
You can tell I wasn't thinking realistically.
I had done a lot of research on how to create and start a online magazine, but the thing I was missing was how to build a online magazine for beginners. {smile} Believe me, I am such a beginner on writing and creating this magazine, but I do know it is possible and amazing to see how God orchestrates people to come into my life and help me on this journey for Him.
The two main road blocks were #1 getting the name register in the state, plus all legalization and #2 finding writers.

In the state of Texas, if your business/organization has at least two words similar to another business/organization already established, than you would need to get a consent form giving you permission to use those two words in your upcoming business/organization. Basically stating they give you permission to use the name.
I was so eager to get all the government paper work file away until I ran into this problem. Please let me remind you that everything is in His timing not ours. The reason why I say that is because recently in April, I have received an email from the organization giving me permission to register the name Faith Love & The Cross in the state of Texas. {Praise God}Which leads me to say that we are still in process of registering the name.

Finding writers. I honestly thought it would be a piece of cake. Who wouldn't want to share their testimony of what God has done in their life, a short story of a praise, or etc.In this process of searching for writers, I found myself as being the writer.
A hidden talent that God prepared me for but didn't have any clue until now. In school, I loved doing research papers and biographies on famous people in our American culture. I had even taken a journalism and a yearbook class in high school, but never imagined myself to pursue it.
On my journey on being a writer, I found myself in a weekly Christian writer's critique class. Hearing amazing stories, I remembered being there for the first time and I sat and wept from picturing myself in the story with the writer. This group was what I needed for this online magazine. The encouragement from one another and the insight of what writer's look for when submitting their material. Even though I needed writers {accepting writers of all levels}the bottom line is that I needed to learn all aspect of this industry.
Now looking forward
Two major reminder for myself is #1 it's God timing and #2 hidden talent is valuable talent to serving a Almighty God.My plan looking forward and reconstructing this publication journey is to being more organized, more setting and accomplishing goals.
The five goals that I would like to accomplish before the summer is over...
1.Research more about outline of a magazine.
2.Define writer guidelines for Faith Love & The Cross
3.Creating a editorial calendar.

5. Reaching out to communities, churches, and social media.
Father,
Thank you for this one year milestone. I know have been distracted with other things in my life, but please teach me to be more organized with the time you have given me. I pray for your guidance and patience through this process. I pray that you will allow brothers and sisters in Christ to speak boldly about you and how amazing you are in their lives. Father bless the people I have met and built relationship with through this journey. In Jesus' name, amen.
